LABELS WE LOVE | ACORN KIDS AW17
BY MARCIA LEONE
The most (read: only) redeeming feature of cooler weather is winter fashion, particularly when it comes to winter woolies for the little ones; and the latest Acorn Kid's collection of hats, scarves and mittens will have you wishing it's winter all year round.
Drawing on 10 years of fashion experience, Fiona Savaris created her children's label in 2006 after not being able to find comfortable, warm and fun hats for her daughter during her first Melbourne winter.
10 years later Fiona is just as passionate about creating beautiful, ethical and mostly hand-made products that are cherished by children and parents alike. Using only the highest quality wool yarns, Acorn’s handmade products are made in provincial Chinese villages where crochet and hand knitting are considered ancient and respected crafts.
Drawing inspiration from beloved children's tales, this season's "A tale to remember" collection delivers another stunning and whimsical collection of warm winter hats, scarves, jackets and mittens to keep little ones fashionably toasty.
My picks are the Cottontail beanie, the tessa head wrap, the stunning felt hats... and of course the booties and gift packs from the infants range.
