POPPY'S NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION

I've often admired newborn photo sessions of sleeping babes in wraps and bows. After missing out on the opportunity with Archie as he was a month old when he came home from hospital, there was no way I was going to miss out on capturing Miss Poppy in all her teeny-tiny newborn glory.

So as soon as we got home from the hospital I was on a mission to get them done- thankfully the amazing Nat Knight had an availability, so at 9 days old in our bleary -eyed newborn state off we went to spend the morning with Nat.

I was absolutely fascinated with the logistics of actually capturing these sweet shots- and let me tell you it's definitely an fine art! The room has to be a certain temperature, there's a shusher noise machine and dummy's and mama's boobies on stand-by. Then there is actually styling and wrapping the babe in the most extreme yoga positions- which she loved. Nat was so good at soothing Poppy into a blissful sleep, but with 4-5 outfit changes it was a full on morning for the mini-model -but we adore these pictures to be treasured forever.
